In 2008, Pastor Joshua Irmler became the Senior Pastor of the Ambassador Baptist Church in west Fresno. He grew up in Fresno, California and accepted Christ as his Savior in 1989. Later, while working at a summer camp in Flagstaff, Arizona; he dedicated his life to serving God in full-time Christian ministry.
After graduating from college and getting married, Pastor Irmler and his wife, Jenny, moved to a small city of about nine hundred people in the Mojave Desert. It was there that Pastor Irmler had the privilege of serving as the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Boron, California for a couple of years. God richly blessed and the church experienced wonderful growth during that time. Pastor Irmler then moved to Lancaster, California where he had the privilege of serving as an assistant pastor at the Lancaster Baptist Church, which is located in Los Angeles County, and is a ministry that averages nearly six-thousand people each week.
Pastor Irmler also had the opportunity to travel as an evangelist, preaching all over the world. Pastor has challenged the lives of people as he has preached the Bible in over thirty states and also in five countries.
Recently, God has allowed the Ambassador Baptist Church to pay off all the debt on the fourteen acre campus that is now home to the church. With zero debt Ambassador Baptist Church is in the process of creating a campus development plan that will have a 500 seat auditorium, a private school, gymnasium, a family-life center, ball fields, and a beautiful park area.
God has blessed the Ambassador Baptist Church in miraculous ways. The church has nearly tripled in size over the two years with high attendances of over three-hundred people. We still believe, however, as our Pastor often says, "That the best is still yet to come!"
